Demetrius Navarro's path to filmmaking is a testament to resilience and passion. From humble beginnings in the projects, he has transformed his life into a narrative that inspires others to chase their dreams.
He has worked extensively in film and television. His film debut was Friday opposite Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, then into leading roles in 187 with Samuel L. Jackson, Soldier Boyz, and The Yardsale. Soon he was dividing his time with the multi-Emmy Award winning series ER for 11 seasons and Telemundo's top rated sitcom Los Beltran. This made him the only Latino on two number one shows, at the same time. He has been nominated for an ALMA Award for Best Supporting Actor and has a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series - ER.
He has taken his extensive experience and segued his career into Producing and Directing. Films include, A Dog & Pony Show, staring Ralph Macchio and Golden Globe & OSCAR Winner Mira Sorvino. His latest film, A Nashville Wish, earned him Broadway World's Best Director Award, stars country legend Lee Greenwood, was at Cannes Film Festival, and theatrically released.

Demetrius Navarro is a multifaceted professional known for his contributions to both the entertainment industry and community service. Born in Los Angeles, California, Navarro began his acting career and gained recognition for his roles in films like Friday and the television series ER. Transitioning into filmmaking, he has directed, produced, and written several projects, including ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE and TIME TRAVEL TO CHRIST.
In addition to his work in entertainment, Navarro has been a dedicated philanthropist for over two decades. He has been actively involved with the Valley Community Clinic, supporting its mission to provide healthcare services to underserved populations in the San Fernando Valley of California. His charitable efforts have focused on improving access to medical care and supporting community health initiatives. He would like to personally thank Hector Elizondo, Edward James Olmos, Luis Guzman, Emilio Rivera, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and the late Tommy “Tiny”Lister to name a few for their support over the years.
